The project comprising eight bedrooms, two large halls, a garage, store rooms and toilet facilities, which is now at the intel level, is being financed with contributions and donations by members of the association. The President of the association, Nana Kwabena Oppong-Agyemang, made this known at the fourth annual general meeting of the members at Drobo. He stated that the association took the decision to provide the headmaster of the school, Mr, Effah Gyamfi with a decent residence about three years ago, considering his current poor place of abode. Nana Oppong-Agyeman expressed concern about lack of other facilities and logistics at the school, such as computers, library books, teachers’ bungalows, among other needs, which were seriously affecting teaching and learning. He, therefore, appealed to philanthropists, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), as well as all well wishers and sympathizers to come to the aid of the school, which had produced many intellectuals who are serving in various respectable positions in the country. Nana Oppong Agyemang commended the headmaster and staff as well as other workers at the school for their contributions towards the progress of the institution and urged them not to relent in their efforts. The Vice-President of the association, Mr Kusi Boamah, advised all past students of the school to join the association in order to contribute their quota toward its development. The headmaster announced that plans were far advanced for the celebration of the schools’ 45th anniversary/speech and prize-giving day. He therefore appealed to members of the association to give practical support for the programme to make it a great success. The Managing Director of Medilab-Ghana, Mr David Asante Adjei, who chaired the function, commended the members of the association, especially the executives, for their foresight in building a decent residential accommodation for the headmaster.
