Rainstorm Damages School Block At Kwabeng

A severe rainstorm last weekend ripped off the roof of the Anglican Senior High School Block at Akyem Kwabeng in the Eastern Region.

A computer laboratory, which was constructed by the Managing Director of Choco Industries, Alhaji Mustapha Boateng, who also donated computers and accessories to the school, was the worst affected building.

The rains also destroyed some computers, making it impossible for the students to use them.

According to the Headmaster of the school, Mr James Abban Teye, it would cost not less that GH¢150,000 to re-roof the building and repair the computers.

He, therefore, appealed to the government, non-governmental organizations, as well as philanthropists, especially citizens of Kwabeng for assistance.

When contacted, Alhaji Mustapha Boateng, who is also a citizen of Kwabeng said he would assess the situation to see how best to assist the school, especially with the repair of the computers.
